The E225 machine taps from Dormer produce Unified Coarse threads in a pre-drilled hole. The taps are manufactured from powder metal High Speed cobalt to give you a better performance and extend the life of the tool, and conform to the German Institute for Standardization. They come with a bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, giving you a more accurate thread, whilst the straight flute design means you can create threads in both through and blind holes, making the E225 a very versatile product, suitable for threading steels, stainless steel and aluminium.
