Description

The E266 metric coarse machine tap from Dormer has a special thread design, called an interrupted thread, which reduces the amount of force you need to apply when tapping many materials incl. steels, aluminium & stainless steel. It is made from powder metal High Speed cobalt for a better performance and longer tool life, and has a bright finish which helps produce more accurate threads by stopping the workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool. It is manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization. The tap has a spiral point design, making it most suitable for threading holes which have been drilled all the way through the workpiece and is available in sizes from M12 to M24.
