The E293 machine tap produces metric coarse threads and is manufactured conforming to the German Institute for Standardization. Made from High Speed cobalt and with a titanium nitride coating, the E293 will give you extended tool life and better performance, particularly when under high pressure and friction. The fluteless design of the E293 makes it suitable for holes which go all the way through the workpiece and holes which stop part way through, and will give you efficient, chip-free threading of both. The E293 is suitable for threading softer materials such as free machining steel, aluminium and stainless steel and is available in sizes from M3 to M16.
