The E473 metric coarse machine taps are part of the “Shark Line” series of taps from Dormer, color coded to help you select the correct tap for your workpiece material. The green ring around the shank of the E473 means it is best suited to thread non-ferrous materials such as aluminium. A clean and accurate thread is ensured with the bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tools. The taps are manufactured from premium powder metal High Speed cobalt and conform to the German Institute for Standardization. With a spiral flute design, the E473 taps are most efficient for blind holes.
