The E711 hand tap from Dormer has specially formed interrupted threads which means you can used reduced force during the threading process. The taps will produce NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads to conform to the American National Standards Institute and are suitable for many materials, including stainless steel, steels and aluminium. The taps have a straight flute design which makes them suitable for threading both through and blind holes. The bright finish ensures accurate and clean threads every time by preventing the workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool. Finally, the E711 tap is manufactured from premium High Speed steel, with the benefit of improved performance and longer tool life.
