T201 machine taps for metric threads are very versatile and are suitable for machine tapping in hardened and abrasive materials including high silicon aluminium and tool steels. They are manufactured to conform to the German institute for standardization and are manufactured from premium carbide for longer tool life and improved performance. The Special Super-B coating on the tools is designed to give great performance when threading hard materials and further improves tool life. T201 machine taps have a straight flute design with coolant feed, for efficient threading of blind holes (holes which stop part way through the workpiece).
