Description

The A413 from Dormer is recommended for creating counter-bored clearance holes for standard metric threads. The drill diameters are specified in metric coarse thread sizes which makes it really easy to select the right drill for the thread you want to create. Choose the metric thread form diameter the same as the thread and you can be sure you have the correct clearance and depth for standard threads. The A413 has 118 degree angle on the pilot drill and a 180 degree counterbore. It is made from High Speed steel so is suitable for drilling a variety of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel, and has a steam oxide finish to help stop workpiece material from sticking to the too, giving a more accurate hole with a better finish. The A413 can be used in both CNC and conventional machines.
