The A166 is tapered shank drill with a brazed carbide tip, giving you the high performance of a carbide drill with a strong and less brittle HSS body. The premium carbide tip is suitable for drilling many materials including hard and abrasive materials such as tool steels and cast iron and has the increased performance and longer tool life you would expect from carbide. It comes in a range of metric diameters and has a 118 degree, four-facet point to provide good self-centering and is also easy to regrind, making it a very economical choice.
