Description

The A201 metric centre drill is recommended for starting a precise hole in the end of a shaft so the shaft can be securely held prior to machining. A 60 degree cone is created in one end of the shaft with the A201 60 degree countersink which is then used to hold that end of the shaft securely. It is manufactured from High Speed steel and can be used to machine a number of materials including steels, stainless steel and aluminium. It has a 122 degree point angle and the bright finish prevents work piece material from sticking to the cutting edge. With drill points at both ends and suitable for use in both conventional machining and CNC machines, the A201 is a very versatile and economical choice.
