The A210 metric centre drill is recommended for starting a precise hole in the end of a shaft so the shaft can be securely held prior to machining. The A210 has a curved cutting face (radius form) which creates a curved cone in the workpiece to be used to hold that end of the shaft securely. The High Speed steel it is manufactured from makes it suitable to machine a number of materials including steels, stainless steel and aluminium whilst the bright finish prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge. The A210 is suitable for both conventional machining and CNC machine and with two drilling ends is a great economical solution.
