B955 reamers from Dormer are shell reamers, designed to finish holes within the limit of H7 hole tolerance. They have a 3.45 degree bevel lead for accurate location and centering in the hole to improve performance and hole quality. They are precision ground with a left hand helix and right hand cutting to provide smooth reaming and improve surface finish and hole size. B955 shell reamers are manufactured form High Speed cobalt to give great reaming in a wide range of materials including aluminium, steels and stainless steel. Shell reamers must be used with a suitable taper shank arbor in machine applications where the reamer is held directly in the spindle (see Dormer’s B956)
