Dormer’s C948 milling cutters can be used for roughing when plunging, ramping and profile milling in steels, stainless steel and cast iron. They are manufactured from powder metal High Speed steel for greatly improved performance and extended tool life, whilst the Alcrona coating further increases the service life of the tool and improves performance when milling difficult to machine materials. C948 roughing cutters have a 35 degree helix which reduces vibration and improves performance when used in CNC machines, whilst the long series flute design with NRA profile is designed to break chips for efficient roughing of deep profiles.
