E111 hand taps for Unified Fine threads are manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization. The taps are available either as a single tapered tap or as a set of two taps (serial taps). Used one after the other, they produce a more accurate thread. All E111 taps are manufactured from premium High Speed steel, giving longer tool life with a better performance. The bright finish prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool and so gives a better finish to the threads. Serial hand taps are ideal for hand tapping tough materials including steels and other heat resistant materials and with a straight flute design can be used for threading both through and blind holes.
