E115 hand taps will produce British Standard Whitworth threads. They can be purchased either as a single tapered tap or as a set of three taps (serial taps). Used one after the other, they produce a more accurate thread. Manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization, the taps are made from premium High Speed steel for a longer tool life and better performance. The bright finish stops workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool which gives a better finish to the threads. Serial hand taps are ideal for hand tapping tough materials including steels and other heat resistant materials and with a straight flute design can be used for threading both through and blind holes. E115 taps for BSW threads are available from 1/8 inch up to I inch.
