Description

The E212 tap from Dormer is a machine tap which produces a metric coarse thread in a pre-drilled hole. Conforming to the German Institute for Standardization, the E212 is manufactured from powder metal High Speed cobalt to give you a much improved performance with a longer tool life. The tap is titanium nitride coated which increases the life of the tool and performs better when under high pressure and friction. The design of the flute makes it ideal for tapping shallow blind holes (holes which do not go all the way through the workpiece) in tough materials such as tool steels.
