The E286 machine tap produces unified fine threads (UNF). It is a fluteless tap with lubrication grooves, designed for efficient, chip-free threading of both through and blind holes. It is manufactured from High Speed cobalt which provides superior performance and longer tool life. The titanium nitride coating increases the service life of the tap and gives better performance under high pressure and friction. The E286 is designed to be used for tapping softer materials such as free machining steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
