Description

The E287 is a machine tap for producing Unified Coarse threads (UNC). It is a fluteless tap with oil grooves for effective threading of through and blind holes without producing chips. It has a titanium nitride coating to improve performance under high pressure and friction, and is manufactured from High Speed cobalt for better performance and longer tool life. The E287 is manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization. It can be used for tapping free machining steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other softer materials.
