Dormer’s E290 machine tap will produce metric fine, left-hand threads. It is manufactured from powder metal High Speed cobalt for superior performance and a longer tool life, whilst the bright finish will give cleaner, more accurate threads by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool. Available in larger sizes from M12 to M24 and conforming to the German Institute for Standardization, the E290 is suitable for threading a number of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel.
