The E291 is a fluteless machine tap producing metric coarse threads over a wide range of smaller sizes from M1.6 to M16, conforming to the German Institute for Standardization. It has a bright finish which stops workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, so giving you more accurate, cleaner threads, and is manufactured from High Speed cobalt for a better performance and longer tool life. The fluteless design provides efficient, chip-free threading in both through and blind holes. Designed for threading softer materials such as free machining steel and aluminium, the E291 is a very versatile tool.
