Description

Made from High Speed steel to provide better performance and extend tool life, the E500 produces metric coarse threads. The tap has a bright finish, which prevents material from sticking to the cutting edge, and a straight flute design which means the tap can be used both for threading holes which stop part way through a material (blind holes) and also holes which go all the way through (through holes). The taps are manufactured to International Standards Organisation guidelines. The E500 is suitable for hand tapping many materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel and is a very versatile tool.
