Description

Dormer’s E515 hand tap creates Unified Coarse threads and is available in three different chamfers of a taper (No 1), a second or plug (No 2) and a bottom tap (No 3), and also in sets containing all three chamfers. The taps are manufactured from High Speed steel and have a bright finish which ensures a clean, accurate thread by making sure the workpiece material does not stick to the cutting edge. They conform to the International Standardization Organization and have straight flutes which means they can be used to thread both holes which stop part way through the workpiece and holes which go all the way through the workpiece. E515 hand taps are suitable for a variety of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel.
