The EP30 machine tap comes in a range of sizes for producing Unified file threads (UNF), including No.8, No.10 and one quarter of an inch to one inch. To give you better performance and longer tool life, they are manufactured from premium powder metal High Speed cobalt and the spiral point design makes them very good at threading holes which go all the way through the workpiece material. Conforming to the German Institute for Standarization, the tools come with a bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge so you get a cleaner, more accurate thread. EP30 taps can be used to thread a wide variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium and steels.
