EP40 machine taps for British Standard Pipe – G series threads are manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization and are made from powder metal High Speed cobalt to give you longer tool life and improved performance when threading a wide range of materials, including steels, aluminium and stainless steel. They have a spiral point design so should be used to thread holes which go all the way through the workpiece, and have a bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, ensuring the threads are clean and accurate.
