F170 machine dies produce external G-series (British Standard Pipe) threads. They have gun nosed geometry which directs chips away from the cutting edges to increase performance levels, and a bright finish to prevent workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool which results in a cleaner, more accurate thread. Designed to create accurate screw threads to class A tolerance, F170 machine dies are manufactured from High Speed steel, with the longer tool life and improved performance you would expect.
