The 100 degree angle on the G171 countersinks will chamfer holes for special fasteners with 100 degree heads. They are made from High Speed steel, making them suitable for chamfering holes in many materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel. G171 countersinks have a titanium aluminium nitride coating, which increases the service life of the countersink with improved performance when used for extended periods at high speed. G171 countersinks can be used in both machine and hand held applications and with the reduced plain shank, even large diameter countersinks can be held in standard chucks and holders, making the G171 a very versatile tool.
