S229 2-flute milling cutters have a ball nose geometry for high performance contouring of complex surfaces and are designed particularly for high speed machining in difficult to machine materials such as heat resistant alloys, whilst the short 2-flute design gives greater rigidity for increased strength and reduced vibration. With an aluminium titanium nitride coating which prolongs tool life and improves performance when milling difficult to machine materials, S229 2-flute milling cutters are manufactured from premium carbide material to further improve performance and extend tool life, and are designed for high speed machining of heat resistant alloys and other hard to machine materials.
